

Mahindra Auto Sales Surge 14% YoY in June 2025, Driven by Strong SUV and 3-Wheeler
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., one of India’s leading automotive manufacturers, reported impressive auto sales growth in June 2025, with a total of 78,969 vehicles sold, marking a 14% year-on-year (YoY) increase, including exports.
This strong performance was primarily driven by solid SUV sales and exceptional growth in the three-wheeler segment, despite minor challenges in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category.

SUV Segment Continues Dominance with 18% Growth
In the Utility Vehicles (SUV) category, Mahindra auto sales recorded domestic sales of 47,306 units, an 18% YoY growth compared to 40,022 units in June 2024. Including exports, the total SUV sales reached 48,329 units, reaffirming Mahindra’s strong foothold in the competitive SUV market.
Commenting on the performance, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, said,
“In June, we achieved SUV sales of 47,306 units, a growth of 18%, and total vehicle sales of 78,969 units, a 14% growth compared to the same month last year. The quarter ended on a very positive note for us, marking the highest quarter ever for SUVs.”
Commercial Vehicle Performance: Mixed Trends
Mahindra’s Commercial Vehicle (CV) segment saw varied results in June 2025:
- LCV (<2T) segment faced a 20% YoY decline, dropping from 3,227 units in June 2024 to 2,576 units in June 2025.
- The LCV 2T–3.5T segment grew by 4% YoY, showing positive signs of recovery.
- LCV >3.5T + MHCV segment also registered a modest 1% YoY growth.
Despite the dip in the sub-2-ton LCV category, Mahindra continues to remain resilient with steady growth in other commercial sub-segments.
Three-Wheeler Segment Soars with 37% Growth
A major highlight of June 2025 was Mahindra’s stellar performance in the three-wheeler category. The brand clocked a remarkable 37% YoY growth, supported by strong sales of both conventional and electric 3-wheelers, catering to the evolving mobility needs of urban and rural India.
Exports Register Modest Increase
On the international front, Mahindra exported 2,634 units in June 2025, compared to 2,597 units in the same period last year. This represents a 1% YoY growth in export sales, maintaining the company’s steady global presence.
